The School of Science and Technology (ECyT, in Spanish) at the National University of San Martín (UNSAM, in Spanish) was founded in 1995, preceding the university’s First Assembly held in 1997. Initially, it operated in the Esquiú Courtyard of the 'Gral. San Martín' Military High School. In June 2005, the School relocated to the Corona Building (“Tornavias”) of the Miguelete Campus, which continues to serve as its home.
Our school is committed to the transfer of professional and technical knowledge through innovative and interdisciplinary programs in basic, applied, and technological sciences. Its academic model integrates research, tutoring, and technological development to serve both public and private sectors. The School strives to maintain the highest academic standards among its researchers and faculty, while educating a new generation of professionals who can contribute to the development of their communities and improve social, economic, and cultural conditions.
Today, the school hosts over 4,000+ students and 500+ professors. Its programs span multiple disciplines and levels of education, and it has already delivered over 1,200 graduates. Moreover, a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in its student body: 41% are women, 46% are first-generation university students, and 28% are working while studying.
